Poets from across the state will compete for top honors and cash prizes next month at the ninth annual All-Arizona Poetry Slam Championship hosted by the Maricopa ARTS Council. 

Doors will open at 5:20 p.m. for an “Art-on-the-Spot” prelude featuring the work of Maricopa artist Kaui Wilson.
